HCU Issue: Samantha Reacts What About Rest?

The ongoing deforestation drive at the Hyderabad Central University campus premises has become a topic of discussion. Telangana government is saying they are clearing the forest to support the urban infrastructure and create an urban ecosystem there.

However, there were several complaints about the deforestation drive as it is evacuating the habitat of thousands of animals and destroying the flora and fauna in the area.

Tollywood tightlipped on this matter, it is now turn of Samantha to express her concern over this matter. She had a pretty strong message on social media while posting about this topic.

Samantha mentioned that it is very important that we have adequate forest cover as this is what keeps our planet up and running. She stated that such deforestation drives could potentially bring up the temperatures by another 4°C, which is going to be very bad for the human existence as well.

Samantha had a pretty strong and bold statement to make this aspect despite the proactive approach of the Telangana government. But it has to be seen if the other actors in Telugu cinema would be as vocal when it comes to speaking out against this matter, which has Telangana government and chief Minister Revanth Reddy in involved with it.

For now, Tollywood has not made too many bold statements on this deforestation drive, but we could be expecting a few such social media posts in the future.
