Samantha Had Never Seen Her ₹1.5 Crore Engagement Ring Before Raj Proposed

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s engagement ring has been getting a lot of attention, not only because of its expensive look but also because of the interesting story behind it. The actress recently revealed that she had no idea about the ring before Raj Nidimoru proposed to her.

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, Samantha spoke about how Raj selected the special ring. She revealed that she was not involved in choosing the design and did not even know what the ring would look like.

"I had no idea about it, by the way. I had no part whatsoever in selecting this ring! It's all Raj. You must ask him...," Samantha said.

The actress also revealed that she saw the ring for the first time only when Raj proposed to her. This made the proposal even more special because the entire choice was kept as a surprise.

The ring was reportedly designed by a jewellery designer and friend of the couple based in Greece. Reports identified the designer as Theodoros Savopoulos, an Athens-based jeweller known for creating unique jewellery pieces.

The design of Samantha’s ring is also quite different. It is a lozenge-shaped ring featuring a natural diamond and eight portrait-cut diamond petals. The unusual design has attracted attention among jewellery lovers.

Celebrity jewellery expert Priyanshy Goel reportedly estimated that the ring could be worth around ₹1.5 crore. However, the exact price of the ring has not been officially confirmed by Samantha or Raj.

The portrait-cut diamonds used in the ring also have a connection with Indian jewellery history. This style was popular during the Mughal era and is considered a rare form of diamond cutting. Only a limited number of craftsmen are believed to have expertise in creating such pieces.

Samantha and Raj Nidimoru got married in an intimate temple ceremony on December 1, 2025. The couple later shared pictures from their special day on social media.
