Samantha Shares a Special Spiritual Experience During Pregnancy

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has shared a heartfelt note about a special traditional ceremony she recently experienced. Through her social media status, Samantha spoke about her deep respect for Indian traditions and explained how meaningful the ceremony was for he

Samantha said that she may not understand the meaning behind every ritual, but she has always believed that there is something deeper in traditional practices. She said that the sound of mantras, the energy created through chanting and the way ancient traditions are passed from one generation to another have always interested her.

She explained that a Sri Vidya Upasaka guided her through every step of the ceremony. As the priest explained the meaning of each ritual, Samantha slowly understood its importance. She said that every mantra, offering and step had a special purpose.

The ceremony was Kala Aavarana (Sri Kalpam), a specialised ritual from the Sri Vidya tradition. Samantha explained that the ritual honours the 94 kalas, or divine qualities, of Devi through the seven chakras of the mother-to-be. Sacred water and mantras are used as part of the ritual.

What touched Samantha the most was the way the mother is viewed during this ceremony. She said that the mother is honoured as Devi herself and as the sacred creator through whom a new life is taking shape. She described the ritual as a blessing for both the child and the woman entering a new phase of her life.

Samantha also explained that after the abhishekam, the mother-to-be is seated at the sacred centre of the Sri Chakra Yantra. During the Devi Khadgamaala recitation, different divine names and energies are chanted. The chanting is believed to invoke protection and blessings.

Samantha said she went into the ceremony knowing very little about it but came away feeling deeply blessed and protected. She thanked her dear Shilpa for giving her the opportunity to experience the beautiful ceremony.

She also expressed gratitude to everyone who helped create the sacred space and to the wisdom of ancient traditions. Samantha ended her note by expressing gratitude for the mother she is becoming and for the little life entrusted to her.
