Sukumar Did It With Kumari 21F, Now Sandeep Reddy Vanga

There is an interesting connection being noticed around the upcoming Telugu film Romanchakam. The film is being presented by filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by his brother Pranay Reddy Vanga under Bhadrakali Pictures. The project has created curiosity because of the involvement of the Vanga brothers.

A similar situation was seen years ago with director Sukumar. At a time when he was busy with his own film projects, Sukumar suddenly produced a small film called Kumari 21F. The movie was made on a relatively modest scale, but it went on to become a memorable success. It also helped introduce fresh talent and became an important film in Sukumar’s production journey.

Now, Sandeep Reddy Vanga appears to be following a somewhat similar path. Even while handling his own major commitments, he has backed Romanchakam. The film is not a regular big-budget project. Instead, it is a young and entertaining buddy comedy that depends mainly on its story, performances and humour.

‘Romanchakam’ stars Sumanth Prabhas and Ananthika Sanilkumar in the lead roles. The cast also includes Upendra Limaye, Venkatesh Kakumanu, Narendra Ravi, Mani and Sohan in important roles. Venugopal Reddy has written and directed the film.

Producer Pranay Reddy Vanga recently shared interesting details about how the project came together. He said that Venugopal narrated the story around fifteen months ago. The director reportedly narrated the complete script in a humorous way and performed different characters himself. This unique narration impressed the team.

The film also went through three months of rehearsals with the actors. Pranay said these rehearsals helped the artists deliver fresh performances. He also praised the director for completing the film within the planned budget.

According to Pranay, audiences should not feel that ‘Romanchakam’ is a small-budget movie while watching it. He believes the film will offer an entertaining experience and connect well with young viewers.
