The special New Year poster of Spirit, featuring Prabahs and Tripti Dimri, has sparked an intense debate across social media ever since it was unveiled on January 1st. While fans welcomed the striking visual and bold presentation, where the chemistry of the leads has become a talking point, the appreciation quickly turned into a debate.

A section of fans and cinephiles believe that the poster of ‘Spirit’ carries a mythological undertone, drawing parallels to the concept of Ardhanareeshwara, saying that Prabhas is the injured is Shiva and Tripti is goddess Parvati. However, others argued that Tripti lit the cigarette of Prabhas, and the spicy look of her isn’t laced with any mythological touch.

Some say that the poster and its look are an inspiration from the iconic Hollywood blockbuster “Basic Instinct” poster, which features Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone in the leads. They argue that the framing and the intimate tension between the leads look clearly inspired.

However, neutral voices in the industry suggest that despite all these interpretations, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has managed to bring discussion around Spirit successfully. This is what a true filmmaker should do to promote his films, and the Animal maker nailed it.
