Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal' is a huge hit at the box office by minting more than 900 crores at the box office. It is getting a terrific response on Netflix too. Despite all the criticism for the excessive violence, misogyny and depiction of women in the movie, the film won five trophies at the recently held Filmfare Awards 2024. He created a storm right with his maiden venture ‘Arjun Reddy'. The film's Hindi version ‘Kabir Singh' created a huge debate across the platforms.

In a throwback interview, Sandeep said that he would go to Hollywood if his movies don't work in India. He said, “If they stop me in India, I will go to Hollywood. I won't have a language barrier. I will make films in Bhojpuri, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and other languages too.”

Sandeep is known for his aggressive nature when responding to criticism. Replying to Javed Akhtar's comments, he said, “It is very clear that he did not watch the film. It's very clear in that comment that he did not see the entire film. Now, if someone is talking without watching the film, what can I say about them? Obviously, you feel bad because it is very clear that he has not seen the film and not only about him, anybody who is throwing stones at an artwork, why don't they check their surroundings first?”

He added, “Why didn't he tell the same thing to Farhan Akhtar when he was producing 'Mirzapur'. Duniya bhar ke gaali Mirzapur ek show mai hai and I haven't watched the whole show. When the show was translated to Telugu, if you watch that, then you will feel like puking. Why is he not checking his son's work?”

He is currently penning the script for Prabhas' ‘Spirit' which may start by the end of 2024.
