Rakasa Telugu States Rights Sold in Big Deal

The upcoming Telugu fantasy comedy film Rakasa is creating strong buzz even before its theatrical release. The film has now achieved an important milestone in its business journey. The theatrical rights for the Telugu states have been acquired by Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers in a big deal. This agreement shows that the film has gained strong confidence from the trade circles.

With this deal, the distribution plan for the film has become stronger. The company will release the movie across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. At the same time, the makers are also preparing for a large international release. The overseas distribution of the film will be handled by Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures. The film is expected to release on more than 350 screens across major international markets.

The movie will be released in countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, and Australia. In key markets such as North America and the United Kingdom, distribution will be managed by Prathyangira Cinemas. Overseas premieres are planned for April 2, 2026, one day before the worldwide release.

The film has also secured strong non-theatrical deals. The digital streaming rights have been bought by Netflix, while the music rights have been acquired by Saregama. These partnerships show the growing interest around the project.

Promotional content from the film has already received good response online. The title glimpse crossed 1.9 million views, while the teaser gained more than 2.8 million views. The first song “Rapappa” crossed 1.1 million views on YouTube. The second song “Padhe Padhe,” sung by Sindhuja Srinivasan with music by Anudeep Dev and lyrics by Kittu Vissapragada, also crossed one million views.

The film stars Sangeeth Sobhan and Nayan Sarika in lead roles, along with actors like Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Getup Srinu.

The movie is directed by Manasa Sharma and produced by Niharika Konidela under Pink Elephant Pictures in association with Zee Studios. Film is gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release on April 3, 2026. Fans are now eagerly waiting to watch this fantasy comedy on the big screen.
