Sankranthi 2026: Too Much Competition, Who Makes It?

The Sankranti 2026 season is going to be a pretty tough one for the Telugu film industry with multiple films aligned for release in a span of a few days. The list includes superstar films, including Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Ravi Teja and others.

Primarily speaking, the ongoing film of Chiranjeevi and Director Anil Ravipudi is projected to release in theatres during the Sankranthi season. This film is going to be a proper family entertainer, and it will be arriving during the festival season.

Then we have Naveen PoliShetty, who is coming up with Anaganaga oka Raju. This is also a comedy oriented film and it is produced by Sitara entertainments. It is communicated that the film would be releasing next Sankranti.

On the other hand, we have Prabhas coming up with Raja Saab, which is also principally preparing for release during this Sankranti season as confirmed by producer TG Vishwa Prasad.

Ravi Teja is doing a film under Kishore Tirumala direction, and this family entertainer is also preparing for release next Sankranthi. We also have Sharvanand doing a film under the direction of Samajavaragamana Director. This is also tentatively lined for Sankranti.

It is evident that we have a bunch of new films that are preparing for release during this Sankranti season and there is a lot depending on the kind of anticipation that is riding on the same.

There is also this dubbed film Jananayagan featuring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, and this is also prepared for release next Sankranthi. But this might not be mainstream competition for the Telugu films.
