U.S. BO: Sankranthi Generates Nearly $8M!

This Sankranti season was a special one for Telugu film industry as we witnessed multiple new releases arriving at the ticket counter during the festival season. The good thing is that these films continued their steady run at the North America box office on Tuesday, with clear leaders emerging in daily and overall collections.

Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu topped the chart by earning $91,000 on Tuesday. With this addition, the film’s total North American box office collection has reached $3.13 million, reflecting strong and consistent audience turnout on weekdays.

Anaganaga Oka Raju followed in second place, collecting $79,000 on Tuesday. The romantic entertainer has now accumulated a total of $1.58 million in North America, supported by positive word of mouth and repeat family audiences. Nari Nari Naduma Murari recorded Tuesday earnings of $54,000, taking its overall total to $661,000. The film is holding steady despite facing competition from bigger releases.

The biggest performer remains Dhurandhar, which added $28,000 on Tuesday. Its cumulative North American gross now stands at an impressive $20.49 million, underlining its blockbuster status overseas. Bharatha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi collected $6,000 on Tuesday, pushing its total North America earnings to $206,000.

The Raja Saab reported a modest $2,000 for the day. The film’s overall North American total is yet to be officially announced. Overall, the Tuesday numbers show stable collections and sustained interest across multiple releases. In total this Sankranti Telugu films have generated in the range of $7.8 million revenue in the United States, which is roughly near to $8M mark which is a good thing.
