Huge Pressure On Tamil Composer! Can He Deliver?

Santosh Narayanan is a name that is quite famous in Kollywood. His songs and background scores receive a lot of praise by the Tamil critics. He is the man behind the energetic BGMs of Rajnikanth's movies like 'Kabali' and 'Kaala'. He worked on many big projects and delivered his best. He has a very good fanbase as well. He did music for Telugu films like 'Dasara', 'Saindhav' and 'Yatra 2' till date.

He is yet to make his mark in Telugu but the composer was given the massive responsibility of giving music for India's biggest film 'Kalki 2898 AD'. He came in the place of Mickey J Meyer who worked on Nag Ashwin's previous two projects 'Evade Subramanyam' and 'Mahanati'. 'Kalki' is going to be very vital in his career as it might make him the most wanted composer in India or it might damage his reputation.

Till date, the music of 'Kalki 2898 AD' did not disappoint. Barring the promotional song, there are no actual songs in the movie but Nag Ashwin reportedly got some tunes out of Santosh Narayanan which will be used in key situations. It is clear that Nag Ashwin delivered in terms of visuals and grandeur. It is the turn of Santosh Narayanan to take those visuals to the next level by giving terrific background scores.

The music we have heard in the trailers and other promotional content till now was fantastic and gave that epic feel to the movie. If we managed to deliver world-class output when the movie releases, there would be no stopping Santosh Narayanan. Let us wait and see if Nag Ashwin's trust in this composer works out or not.
