Santosh Sobhan is one hero who always stays busy with multiple projects in his hand. He arrives with at least 3-4 films per year and tries to impress the public. But he is unable to find success as all of his films are ending up as duds at the box office. Barring 'Ek Mini Katha' which was an OTT release, Santosh did not have a single hit in his career till date. His last outing 'Anni Manchi Sakunale' directed by Nandini Reddy ended up as a commercial failure as well.

He arrived with 'Prem Kumar' this weekend and the response from the public is quite lukewarm. While the premise of the film is interesting, people who watched the film suggested that the execution was quite poor. The lack of seriousness and too much silliness too worked against the film as per reports. While Santosh Sobhan did his part well, it is the narration that lacked the punch and some of the jokes reportedly did not land well. The public talk from the morning shows is not that encouraging and the people claim that the young actor needs to be more careful while selecting the scripts and suggest that he should not just get excited with the basic plotline.

While the talk is average, we need to see how the film performs at the ticket as there are no big releases this weekend. Rashi Singh is the heroine while Krishna Chaitanya, Ruchitha Sadineni, Krishna Teja, Sudarshan, Ashok Kumar, Sri Vidya and others play key roles.

Shiva Prasad Panneeru is the producer while Abhishek Maharshi directed and co-wrote the movie. Anirudh Krishnamurthy is another writer while Anant Srikar is the music composer. Rampy Nandigam is the director of photography while Garry BH is the editor.
