An arms expert, selling ammunition to the most dreaded militia on earth; his lady love, the relationship gets affected; he rises back and kills the goons. Well, from DON to Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan has done that many times in his career, and right now, his latest song from his upcoming film “King” also narrates the same. That’s what is upsetting the audience, who are otherwise staring at a song that would score 200 million views in the coming days.
“Tu Mil Jaaye” is the first single from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film “King” which has Sachin-Jigar scoring the music. This song is sung by Arijit Singh and the English verses are crooned by Ed Sheeran; it is definitely bang on target, as it is likely to move up the charts in a short time. The song is a smash hit without any doubt. However, it’s the visuals and the story that are hitting the cinema lovers hard, quite an expected thing from Shah Rukh Khan.
Looks like SRK and his director Sidharth Anand are still stuck in the spy world and unable to come out of it, though YRF has shown the world how spy films can end up as the biggest flops of the decade when presented with the same old routine formula. At the same time, the visual effects in the song are quite noticeable and disrupt the flow. As a concept wise, it’s a big drop of momentum around King, while the song is going to surely top the charts.
