Singeetham Srinivasa Rao has captured the imagination of audiences with his new film, Sing Geetham. Deciding to experiment even at his age, he is gearing up to deliver a musical fantasy experience in theatres from 11th June. Shalini Kondepudi, who is playing antagonist role, shared her experience about working in the film.
She described that the idea for the film originated years ago but still feels relevant today. She revealed that every line in the film is designed musically and conversations themselves unfold like songs. She said the biggest challenge during filming was not singing, but speaking dialogues in musical rhythm.
The team attended extensive workshops to adapt to the format and maintain consistency in performance. She said, "Singeetham sir is a perfectionist and we had to attend numerous workshops to perfect the pitch." She described her character as a powerful antagonist with many layers and she cherished working with legends.
She remarked that composer Devi Sri Prasad helped each and every actor to understand musical rhythm. Shalini maintained that this rural based fantasy narrative will be so fresh and unique that audiences will love to watch it again and again as it is such captive, entertaining and immersive.
