On the occasion, he spoke about Game Changer and Indian 3.
Maverick director Shankar was once one of the most celebrated filmmakers in Indian cinema before he started to lose his sheen of late. He is now coming up with Game Changer which is most anticipated work of his in recent years. On the occasion, he spoke about Game Changer and Indian 3. Here’s what he had to say about the same.
''Ram Charan’s decision to do Game Chanher was decided even before the release of 'RRR'. Dil Raju felt that it would be good if Ram Charan was in this film. It seemed appropriate to me too. Some of my stories are universal themes that can be applied to any hero, so they would be perfect for a big hero.” Shankar said
About Charan’s acting prowess, Shankar said he is an artist who can give in-depth performances. He has a good screen presence. No matter what kind of scene it is, he handles it beautifully.
“Charan will look very smart as an officer. He was designed for this character, got a haircut, and it was new to him to see it. He seemed very believable. There are good powerful scenes. He gets carried away in sentimental scenes as well. He is different in action, songs, and fights”
About Indian 3, Shankar said this film will definitely happen and concluded that it will be released only in theaters. He shut down the rumors about the possible OTT release prospects of the film. Surprisingly, he said he didn’t expect such backlash and negative reception for Indian 2 in the first place.
Those who are wondering what it would be like if Ram Charan and I came together are definitely in for a surprise, Shankar concluded.
