A Big Litmus Test For 'Indian 2' Now!

'Indian 2' is a pan-Indian movie arriving this weekend. The movie generated huge buzz during its announcement but it slowly went down as the days progressed. Despite all the updates and promotional content, the movie failed to created a lot of hype among Telugu movie lovers. It is the sequel of the blockbuster 'Indian'. Despite Shankar and Kamal Haasan teaming up once again, the movie is not making enough sound.

Despite having a top composer like Anirudh Ravichander, the movie is unable to grab a lot of attention. The content needs to be highly impressive in order to get good collections. This movie is a litmus test for a lot of people who worked on the movie. Especially, Shankar needs to prove himself as his last few outings like 'Snehitudu', 'I' and '2.0' did not meet expectations.

Also, 'Indian 2' getting delayed, the unfortunate accident and the legal battle between Shankar and Lyca Productions banner have also generated a lot of negative buzz. Because of 'Indian 2', Ram Charan's 'Game Changer' faced a lot of issues as well. There is no buzz on the film but Shankar needs this movie to be successful. On the other hand, Kamal needs this film to become a big hit. A large part of 'Vikram' success went into the account of Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Other actors and Anirudh played a major role in that film's success as well. He wants to prove his capacity as a solo hero with 'Indian 2' which is made on a budget on more than 250 crores. Lyca Productions too are unable to get hits these days. Movies like 'Ponniyin Selvan', 'Darbar', 'Lal Salaam', 'Mafia', 'Ram Sethu' and 'Chandramukhi 2' have backfired.

Even actors like Siddharth and Rakul too need 'Indian 2' to be successful. Let us see if 'Indian 2' ends up becoming a blockbuster or not.
