Sharwanand is leaving no stone unturned for his latest movie, Biker. After promoting the film aggressively before release, the actor is now continuing the momentum with post-release promotions, visiting theatres and interacting with audiences directly. Guess what, the emotional content crafted by director Abhilash Reddy is said to have made the hero more emotional. Here’s what happened then.
During his visit to Sree Ramulu Theatre in Moosapet the other day, Sharwa thanked director Abhilash Reddy, calling Biker his best film, and he went doing a Sashtanga Namaskaram on stage, thanking both the cinema and the audience. In recent times, even mid-range films are depending heavily on word of mouth rather than just openings. Now that Biker is getting good word of mouth, it looks like Sharwa is overwhelmed with the reception and the emotions inside him.
If we look at the Box Office numbers, they suggest a decent start to the movie. Released on April 3, Biker opened with around ₹2.8 crore on Day 1 and added ₹2.33 crore on Day 2, taking the total to about ₹5.1 crore net in India. Worldwide, it has crossed ₹7 crore gross in the first couple of days, and Sunday also looks quite incredible for the movie. Though numbers are not like during the Sankranthi season, it’s definitely refreshing for the box office, which is going to a dry phase from February.
