This Mumbai Girl Loves The Tag "South Star"

If we have to pick up the most beautiful heroines the Telugu film industry has ever seen, definitely the name of Shriya Saran will be on the list. Starting from the Ishtam movie to many other glam-centric roles, and to that of crucial characters in movies like Drishyam, Shriya is a glam diva and actress who commands a huge fanbase even today.

Though she hails from Mumbai and lives there, the actress is still referred to as a South Star only because of the stardom she has in Telugu and Tamil films. Promoting her latest web series, Spacegen: Chandrayan, the 43-year-old actress stated that she loves it when people call her ‘South Star’. She added that the ‘South Star’ tag reflects the love showered by the Telugu and Tamil audience on her.

At a time when many actresses have complaints about the South despite starting their careers here, it’s quite interesting to see Shriya showcasing her love for the South. Probably this is what gratitude looks like, and the actress shows it all the time.

Apart from starring in minor roles in big films, Shriya is doing web series and item songs as well.
