Shruti Hassan is very different from the other heroines. She is a multitalented woman who is very active on social media. She had a great 2023 with super hits like 'Veera Simha Reddy', 'Waltair Veerayya' and 'Salaar'. She is someone who doesn't mind voicing her opinions in public irrespective of what people might think.
She recently had a Q&A session with her fans and when a person asked her to say something in a South Indian accent, Shruti replied, “Ok… So This sort of micro racism is not ok And it's not ok when you look at us and say idli dosa sambar either. And no you don't imitate us well so don't try and be funny.” Seems like the star actress is angry at people stereotyping South Indians both on and off the screen.
At the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, Shah Rukh Khan made a similar remark while calling Ram Charan on stage. He said, “Bhend idly vada Ram charan kahan hai tu (Saying names of snacks, Ram Charan where are you)???” This drew a lot of backlash as well.
Talking about her work, she said, “I am really happy with the work I am doing. I am currently, in Hyderabad shooting Dacoit. Having a wonderful time. I'm going to start some new projects soon. I think this phase has been really special for me. I am taking more risks than I used to before. I am happy to have a long and healthy career in which I can grow and experiment.”
