Post his marriage, Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is all set to return to the silver screen with his much-anticipated love and action entertainer, Thandel. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vasu under the prestigious Geetha Arts banner, the film is slated for release on February 7th. The songs from the movie, composed by National Award-winning music director Devi Sri Prasad, have already struck a chord with audiences, generating excitement among moviegoers.

Thandel boasts an impressive technical team, including cinematographer Shyam Dutt, editor Naveen Nooli, and art director Srinagendra Thangala. As part of the promotional campaign, cinematographer Shyam Dutt recently shared some behind-the-scenes insights in an exclusive interview. During the conversation, he recounted a harrowing incident that occurred during a reshoot of the film’s sea-based sequences.

While scouting shooting locations with the director, action choreographer, and other crew members, their boat hit a rock, causing a hole that led to water seeping in and tipping the vessel to one side. Stranded in the middle of the sea, the crew waved desperately for help, but passing boats ignored their distress. Eventually, another boat arrived and attempted to pull their vessel to safety, but when that proved impossible, they were brought back to shore safely.

Despite this challenging experience, the team’s dedication remains unwavering, and expectations for Thandel are sky-high. With its gripping storyline, star-studded cast, and stellar technical crew, the film is shaping up to be a memorable cinematic experience. Fans are eagerly counting down to February 7th to witness Naga Chaitanya’s much-awaited return to the big screen.
