Tamil actor Siddharth is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Chithha, titled Chikku in Kannada in Bengaluru. However, his press conference on Thursday (September 28) was disrupted by pro-Kannada activists amid the ongoing Cauvery issue.
The activists objected to Siddharth not lending his voice for Kannadigas on the Cauvery water issue, Republic Kannada reported. In a video accessed by Republic, the KRVSS activists were seen pointing fingers at Siddharth and questioning the timing of the press conference.
In the middle Siddharth tried to address the media anyway but stopped with the activists action. One of the now-viral videos shows Siddharth then standing up and greeting the media with folded hands before leaving the venue.
Chithha is a Tamil language film helmed by SU Arun Kumar. The film, which hit theatres on September 28, is produced by Siddharth himself under his banner Etaki Entertainment. The film's Telugu version titled Chinna likely to be released on October 6th.
