Sivaji’s Film Goes To Netflix - Twist Or Cheating?

After getting promoted as an exclusive ETV Win movie, actor Sivaji’s latest outing, which he himself produced, Sampradayini Suppini Suddapusani movie, finally made it to theatres a couple of weeks ago. While the trailer promised the audience that a terrific, entertaining thriller is in the offing, with Sivaji and Laya, a popular duo of a couple of decades ago, returning to the screen again, the result hasn’t lived up to those expectations. And now, the film’s arrival on Netflix is giving different vibes altogether.

ETV Win has officially funded Sivaji’s Sampradayini Suppini Suddapusani movie. Later thought that it would work big in theatres, and hence sent it for a theatrical release. The film flopped miserably. Now, the film is heading for Netflix release on April 3rd. Some say that ETVWin hasn’t paid money to Sivaji, hence the actor moved to Netflix to make a huge buck. However, ETV Win has a backend deal with Netflix, due to which, we could already see that series like #90s are currently being streamed on Netflix. We have to see how Sivaji and ETV Win explain this.

On the other hand, while the controversial statement given by Sivaji during Dandora release helped that film get huge attention on the OTT, we have to see if a similar thing could happen with Sampradayini Suppini Suddapusani's movie, as people are talking a lot about it, as to why it shifted to Netflix. Meanwhile, films that didn’t click in theatres naturally do well on OTT as most people want to see, at least to find out why it flopped, and that way, we have to see if Sivaji’s movie could get the attention it deserved.
