As Sankranti 2026 approaches, the Telugu box office has turned into one of the most crowded and competitive festival seasons in recent times, with multiple big films vying for screens and also the attention of the audience.
In this high-stakes lineup, it looks like Telugu producers are not giving any space to dubbed movies, and that keeps Sivakarthikeyan on tenterhooks now.
Tamil film Parasakthi, featuring Sivakarthikeyan and Sreeleela in the leads, and has Sudha Kongara as the director, is unable to get attention in the Telugu circuits.
The vintage content, songs, and everything have failed to grab the eyeballs here so far. While the film is hitting Tamil theatres on January 10th, reports are now doing the rounds that the Telugu release will be pushed to a couple of weeks later.
Though Sivakarthikeyan enjoys a good following in Telugu circuits, the overcrowded Sankranthi featuring straight films will not allow him to breathe.
With the likes of Prabhas’ The Raja Saab on January 9, Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu on January 12, Ravi Teja’s Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi on January 13, Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju on January 14, and Sharwanand’s Nari Nari Naduma Murari on January 15— finding space for dubbed movies is tough.
Vijay’s Jana Nayagan Telugu dubbed version, however, might manage some theatres on the 9th.
