Veteran actor Sonu Sood is one of the most influential philanthropic persons in the Indian film industry. The kind of good work he did during the Covid pandemic by helping out several people financially and materialistically was largely appreciated by everyone.
Incidentally, Sonu Sood found himself in the middle of a legal mess after a Ludhiana court issued an arrest warrant against him for not appearing for investigation and recording his statement. This case originated from a failed business transaction, which allegedly involve Sonu Sood.
However, the actor has responded on this development and he gave an affirmative assessment on the same through his social media post.
“We need to clarify that the news circulating on social media platforms is highly sensationalised. To put matters straight, we were summoned as a witness by the Honourable Court in a matter pertaining to a third party to which we have no association or affiliation.
Our lawyers have responded and on 10th February 2025 we will give a statement that clarifies our non involvement in the matter. We are neither brand ambassadors nor are we associated in any way. This is just for unnecessary media attention to grab eyeballs. It is sad that celebs become soft targets. We will take strict action in this matter.” Sonu Sood tweeted on this matter.
Sonu Sood termed this as a media gimmick for unnecessary attention, and he stated that his team will take certain action against the involved parties.
