South Stars Settling In Mumbai For ‘Personal’ Reasons

From Allu Arjun to Ram Charan, Yash, Suriya-Jyothika to Samantha, many stars from the South have set up their pads in Mumbai now. While the Telugu heroes stay here and there, most of the other stars have completely moved there. Though some feel that this is regarding their pan-India ambition, the truth is that most stars moved there for their personal reasons rather than to focus on some Pan-India projects.

To give some clarity, pan-India films are being made in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, with the likes of Baahubali, RRR, KGF and Kantara coming from here. So there’s no point in talking about pan-India ambitions as the reason behind the Mumbai shift.

For Allu Arjun, the actor doesn’t want any footage related to Raaka leaked, and already Atlee ahs setup shop in Mumbai, so he too moved there. Moreover, Allu Sirish wants to produce films on Geetha Arts banner in Bollywood, so they are doing those experiments there.

Even in the case of Ram Charan, as his wife Upasana also keeps travelling to Mumbai, the financial capital of India, the actor has set up a home there, so that they could avoid staying in hotels all the time.

As Jyothika has given up her career after marriage, she wants to restart now, and knowing that restarting in Tamil won’t give her better roles, she wanted the Mumbai shift. Hence, Suriya along with his kids, also joined there.

Yash hasn’t moved to Mumbai, but has purchased a luxurious villa in Alibaug Island for his wife as a special gift, and they are treating it like a retreat zone.

As these stars are in Mumbai now, maybe some offers are coming their way for discussion there, but otherwise, the shift is purely personal.
