Naga Chaitanya is currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film Tandel, which is set to release on February 7. After completing this project, he will begin working on a new movie with director Karthik Dandu who gained attention with the film Virupaksha. For this project, Karthik has prepared an exciting thriller story.

The team is actively finalizing the cast and technical crew. Several names are being considered for the female lead including Pooja Hegde, Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary. It is speculated that either Meenakshi or Sreeleela may be finalized for the role. The film is likely to be titled Vrisha Karma though an official announcement is awaited.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the villain for the movie has also been finalized. For this project, the team is planning to introduce a Bollywood actor as the antagonist. Sparsh Srivastava, known for his work in the popular Hindi TV serial Balika Vadhu and the web series Laapata Ladies, is set to play the negative role. This marks Sparsh’s debut in South Indian cinema. A look test for his character will be conducted soon.

The villain’s role is expected to be different from the usual commercial cinema antagonists, adding a unique element to the story. According to insider reports, the movie is being made on a massive budget of around ₹100 crores.
