Sreeleela Turns Down Bollywood Opportunities
Regardless, it seems Sreeleela has made a wise choice by prioritizing the Saif Ali Khan project.
Tollywood's siren song is hard to resist, even for Telugu cinema's rising stars. From Sridevi to Pooja Hegde, many have successfully navigated the two industries. And it seems Sreeleela is keen to follow in their footsteps.
The young actress had initially accepted two Bollywood offers simultaneously. One was a romantic comedy opposite Varun Dhawan, directed by his father David Dhawan. However, due to scheduling conflicts, Varun had to exit the project. The other was a role in 'Dailer', starring Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan.
While the official reason for Varun's departure is scheduling issues, there are whispers that the role might not have been substantial enough for the actor. Regardless, it seems Sreeleela has made a wise choice by prioritizing the Saif Ali Khan project. Ibrahim's debut film, 'Sar Zameen', is yet to be released, but the makers are already gearing up for his second venture, 'Dailer', which will be directed by Kunal Deshmukh.
Sreeleela's decision to opt for 'Dailer' over the David Dhawan film might prove to be a strategic move. The veteran director has been out of form for a while, and the details of his upcoming project remain shrouded in mystery.
Meanwhile, back in Telugu cinema, Sreeleela is currently busy with 'Robin Hood' opposite Nitin. She also has a film lined up with Ravi Teja and director Bhanu Bhogavarapu. However, the status of 'Ustad Bhagat Singh' is still uncertain.
