Sreemukhi Apologizes For Calling Ram-Lakshman Fictional

Anchor Sreemukhi, known for her vibrant personality and hosting skills, has landed herself in controversy. The event, which featured prominent celebrities like Venkatesh, Anil Ravipudi, Dil Raju, and Sirish, saw Sreemukhi deliver lively introductions and banter, which is her trademark style. However, one particular remark has sparked backlash on social media.

While praising the camaraderie between producer Dil Raju and his brother Sirish, Sreemukhi likened them to the mythological brothers Rama and Lakshmana. Unfortunately, she added that Rama and Lakshmana were "fictional characters."

This statement has been widely criticized online, with netizens expressing anger and accusing Sreemukhi of disrespecting Hindu beliefs. However, she has come up with an apology now.

"While hosting an event, I made a mistake by saying that Ram and Lakshman are functional characters. I am a big devotee of Lord Sriram. I hurt the sentiments of some and realise my mistake. I tender my apology and ensure I will not repeat this again. Please forgive me," said Sreemukhi.
