Aagadu Failure Back In Discussions

Sreenu Vaitla is making a much-anticipated comeback with his new film Viswam, which is set for a grand release on October 11. As part of the promotions for the Gopichand-starrer, Vaitla has been actively giving interviews. In one of the recent interviews, Sreenu Vaitla opened up on the film's failure, Aagadu, starring Superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role.

Sreenu Vaitla revealed that the initial plan for Aagadu was to create a high-budget story, which Mahesh Babu had also approved. However, due to financial constraints and to not over burden the producers, the director then decided to do a rural mass action drama with entertaining elements.

As a result, unexpectedly and unfortunately, the film underperformed at the box office, marking one of the biggest flops in his career. Sreenu Vaitla confessed that despite knowing the risks, he went ahead with the film and has since regretted the decision.

Now, with Viswam, an action drama produced by People Media Factory, Sreenu Vaitla is eager to regain his footing in the industry and climb back onto the success track. However, the director still wants to work with Mahesh Babu some day in the future.
