Summer 2027: Rajamouli, Vanga, Neel & Lokesh In Race

Every year on the eve of Sankranthi, many Telugu biggies release and create havoc at the Telugu box office. However, in 2027, it’s going to be the peak of Telugu cinema at the National box office if we look at the films that are getting ready to hit the cinemas. In the two months Summer Holidays span, it looks like four biggies are likely to wow the Box Office.

Firstly, we have India’s No 1 director and legacy filmmaker, SS Rajamouli, coming up with the Varanasi movie, which has Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in the leads. The film is likely to get a grand global release for its scale, casting, and of course, with the name of Rajamouli pasted all over it.

Then comes Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, which has Prabhas in the lead. Other day, the maverick director announced that Spirit is hitting cinemas on March 5th, 2027. This makes the first-ever Summer 2027 film to confirm the release date of their movie.

We have then KGF and Salaar maker Prashanth Neel’s next project, tentatively titled Dragon, and has Jr NTR in the lead. While the makers haven’t confirmed the date yet, sources from Mythri compound have always maintained that the film will hit cinemas in the summer of 2027.

Other day, the announcement of ace Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next, featuring Allu Arjun in the lead, came out. They say that even this film will join the Summer race next year without any doubts, though there is Atlee’s film for the hero, which has to lock date yet.

If all these four films are released in two months span, surely it’s going to be fireworks at Indian theatres, with Telugu pride flying high.
