Meet The Stars Who Don't Have Indian Citizenship!

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar finally got rid of the Canadian Citizenship criticism. With this, he can have a sigh of relief. On the eve of the Indian Independence Day, Khiladi Akshay Kumar received his Indian Citizenship. He took to social media to share his happiness. When he had a lean patch in his career, he applied for Canadian citizenship and got one.

As Akshay Kumar's citizenship is in the news, the focus now went on to other stars who are living in India and earning in big numbers but are not Indians and won't hold Indian Citizenship.

Deepika Padukone:

The Queen Bee is not an Indian citizen and many don't know that. She is the top actress in the town and has an interesting filmography. Despite this, she is not an Indian citizen. Deepika Padukone was born in Denmark and hence she has a Denmark citizenship. Deepika is the daughter of Legendary badminton player Prakash Padukone.

Alia Bhatt:

The Star actress who is expected to reach the top position soon is also not an Indian. The talented actress doesn't have Indian Citizenship. One of India's highest-paid actresses holds British citizenship. She is the daughter of British actress Soni Razdan, who married Mahesh Bhatt. Like how Deepika was born in Denmark, Alia Bhatt has British Citizenship.

Sunny Leone:

Former Adult actress Sunny Leone doesn't need any introduction. Though her family's roots are in India, she doesn't have Indian Citizenship. She was born as Karenjit Kaur Vohra in Canada. But she became popular with the stage name of Sunny Leone. Her career took a big turn with Jism2. She shifted her focus to India and moved here. She also participated in Bigg Boss Hindi.

Katrina Kaif:

Another star on the list is Katrina Kaif, who is one of the highest-paid stars in the town. The 1983-born actress holds a British actress as she was born there and her family lives there. Though she was born in Hong Kong, she holds a British Citizenship. She moved to India to have a career here and became a star. Recently, she tied the knot with Vicky Kaushal.

Jacqueline Fernandez:

The actress needs no introduction as she has been hitting the headlines regularly for some or other reasons with the Money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekar. The dazzling beauty is a Sri Lankan citizen as she was born there. Though she became a star actress here, she did not get citizenship here.

Not just them, there are a few other personalities who are working here. But they don't have Indian Citizenship. The thing is that the Indian Constitution won't allow people to hold Indian Citizenship and foreign citizenship simultaneously.
