Is There Going To Be A Change In 'Devara' Release Date?
They are planning to prepone the release by two weeks in order to get a three-week free run at the box office ahead of the Dasara festival.
The team of 'Devara' made the fans very unhappy when they shifted the release date from 5th April to 10th October. The delays in shootings and election fever played a key role in it. People are eager to watch the film during the Dasara season. Though nothing has been revealed yet, insiders suggest that there might be a change in the release date of 'Devara' once again. Apparently, they are planning to prepone the release by two weeks in order to get a three-week free run at the box office ahead of the Dasara festival.
If it happens, sources claim that 'Devara' might hit the screens on 27th September. As we know, the date is already booked by Pawan Kalyan's gangster drama 'OG' which is being directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya. But the possibility of this much-awaited flick releasing on time is looking quite bad. Pawan is completely busy with election campaigning. With the united front of TDP-BJP-Janasena gaining a bit of momentum, the competition is going to be very tough in Andhra Pradesh.
Pawan will not return back to shootings till 4th June. After such strenuous campaigning, he needs a few days rest before jumping onto the movie sets. He has 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu', 'OG' and 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh' teams waiting for him. Though Sujeeth needs only one month to wrap up Pawan's part in 'OG', it is not an indoor shoot. Pawan needs to shoot extensively in Mumbai and the post-production quality may come down if they rush things.
Also, the 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' team too made it clear that the first part will be hitting the screens in 2024. There are more chances of 'OG' getting postponed and it is the reason why the 'Devara' team is reportedly keeping an eye on 27th September. This way, they can avoid competition with Suriya's 'Kanguva' as well. It is very important to make sure that there is no competition in North India as well. Let us wait and see if the inside talk regarding the 'Devara' release becomes true or not.
