After 'KGF 2', 'Stree 2' Eyes 'Gadar 2' & 'Animal' Records!

Bollywood horror comedy 'Stree 2' is showing no signs of slowing down. People were shocked when this regular budgeted film surpassed the collections of 'Kalki 2898 AD' Hindi version. Now, it is raking up collections and is surpassing the lifetime collections of many blockbuster movies.

This film starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao generated a lot of buzz prior to its release and got very positive talk on Day 1. People flooded to the theatres and it broke 'Kalki' Hindi collections in just 8 days. By the end of 13 days, the movie collected 442 crores nett in India. Rocking star Yash's 'KGF 2' got 435 crores in India during its lifetime.

It is quite clear that the 500 crore mark is an easy milestone and this horror comedy is now aiming to surpass the collections of other blockbusters like 'Gadar 2' which earned more than 600 crores. While 'Animal' earned more than 900 crores, we need to wait and see if 'Stree 2' surpasses Ranbir Kapoor's action saga or not.

The movie was made with 50 crores and it is expected to be the most profitable venture in Bollywood in recent times. The first part got over 180 crores at the end of its theatrical run and 'Stree 2' managed to get 300 crores in just 8 days which explains the craze over this film. The makers have created a special universe and we will get to see 'Stree 3' in the coming days as well.
