Bengali director Sujoy Ghosh has created one of the most shocking films ever in Bollywood, and it’s none other than “Kahaani” featuring Vidya Balan in the lead. Back in 2012, this film was made with a ₹8 crore budget and earned more than ₹100 crore at the box office. That made the sequel more anticipated: Kahaani 2, another vigilante-action drama released in 2016, but was moderately successful.
A decade after Kahaani 2 came out, now director Sujoy Ghosh wants to come up with another movie in the sequel zone, and this would have a completely different story. However, roping in 47-year-old Vidya Balan wouldn’t make any sense now, so the director is opting for the current powerhouse performer of Tollywood, who happens to be none other than Yami Gautam. With the actress recently winning even a National Award for her Article 370 performance, surely that’s a great sign to rope her in for Kahaani 3.
However, unlike the previous two films, this film is likely to be made with a gigantic budget considering the present-day scenario. However, with Yami Gautham in the driver’s seat, surely the film is getting more attention, while Sujoy Ghosh’s recent films haven’t received much reception. On the other hand, talk is coming that even Vidya Balan will do a cameo in this movie.
