Sukumar & DSP Episode Refuses To Die

Right from his debut film, ace director Sukumar always worked with composer Devi Sri Prasad for his films, like how SS Rajamouli worked with only Keeravani all the time. However, during the post-production of “Pushpa 2”, somehow the likes of Sam CS and Thaman jumped into the scene to wrap the background score of the film, and that exposed some cracks. Even at a press meet, statements made by Mythri Ravi and DSP have stood witness to that.

Cut to the present, Devi Sri Prasad is busy with the shooting of “Yellamma” and wants to prove himself as an actor rather than go after music assignments on the given day. Then, Sukumar has to start working on the music of his next project that will have Ram Charan in the lead. Already, they are in talks with Dhurandhar composer Sashwath Sachdev on one side and Tamil sensation Sai Abhyankar on the other side. With these happenings, many are thinking that the feud between Sukumar and DSP still exists, and hence the music director is not showing interest in the Charan starrer.

For people who have worked together for 20+ years, surely any kind of argument or fight will not be a reason for a split. Sources inside the camps say that it’s because of Devi’s plan to make it big as an actor, has stayed away from composing offers. Whatever it maybe, until Sukumar announces the name of his composer, it looks like these rumours won’t die down.
