Allu Arjun and Sukumar's iconic film, Arya completed two decades of release. The film is a blockbuster and to commemorate this milestone, a grand event was organized in Hyderabad, attended by the entire team. During the event, Sukumar shared insights into the making of the film. He has opened up on several untold stories about the film.
Reflecting on the journey of Arya, Sukumar expressed his initial doubts about the project's realization. However, Allu Arjun's unwavering belief in the script, despite his young age of 18 at the time, convinced Sukumar of the film's potential. Sukumar credited Allu Arjun as the driving force behind his growth as a filmmaker.
Sukumar praised producer Dil Raju for providing the necessary resources and support. He highlighted the spontaneous creation of the iconic "Feel My Love" song by music director DSP after hearing the narration for the first half.
Sukumar also revealed that the inclusion of the item song "Aa Ante Amalapuram" wasn't originally his idea but contributed significantly to the film.
Arya featured Anu Mehtha as the female lead and it also had Sivabalaji and Subbaraju in key roles. The film was later remade in other languages and a sequel titled Arya 2 was also made in Telugu.
