Another most-awaited season in the Telugu film industry for the release of big films after Sankranthi is none other than the summer holidays. And that starts with the end of March every year, as the Summer kicks in. This time, we have biggies in place, but a couple of them have gone for a change in release dates.
Earlier, we had Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, set for March 27th release, but now the movie has been pushed to April 30th. At the same time, Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh is contemplating various dates; however, with Peddi moving out, this movie is locked on March 26th as the release date. Now that two movies from the Mega compound, that too from the biggest stars of the family, have been confirmed, what about Chiranjeevi’s film is the natural thing to ask for?
Chiranjeevi’s much delayed movie Vishwambhara, directed by Vassishta Mallidi of Bimbisara fame, is yet to get a release date clarity. Though the film was supposed to release in September last year, then postponed to Sankranthi 2026, and then got postponed indefinitely due to pending VFX work. If this film also books a slot, and the senior star locks a clashless date in the summer, it would be a ‘mega’ treat.
