Asian Sunil Steps Down- What’s Happening?

Until now, Asian Cinemas’ Sunil Narang is not well known to the general public, but is quite popular within industry circles. He owns theatres, he’s a distributor and also funds a lot of movies. Teaming up with the likes of Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, and Raviteja, he has launched the popular AMB, AAA, and ART cinemas in Hyderabad, the go-to multiplexes for youth. However, the whole exhibitor-distributor fiasco has now led to unwanted fights in the Tollywood fraternity.

While Asian Sunil expresses his voice and spreads out his demands for the sake of exhibtors is fine, he has bad-mouthed producer Naga Vamsi, calling him as a fake-hair guy, and that led to unwanted issues. Though the issue and war of words between Sunil and Vamsi got settled down later, it looks like Sunil is upset because some other biggies in the Telangana Film Chamber aren’t supporting him fully. For reasons unknown, today, he has quit from the post of Chamber president.

“The Chamber should run on anonymous decisions, which are not happening; therefore, please relieve me with immediate effect. I am suggesting Sekar or Vijendar to take charge immediately,” a statement from him read, as he stepped down. However, many are wondering when the likes of Dil Raju around, why did Sunil Narang even given up his post. Now that he has resigned from the Chamber, his fight as an exhibitor might also get intensified, some say.
