Superstar Rajinikanth, aged 73, was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai on Monday night. According to Tamil film sources, the doctors planned several heart-related medical tests for him on Tuesday. Fortunately, his health is stable, and the doctors have indicated that Rajinikanth will likely undergo an elective operation soon.

Chennai Media also mentioned that Rajinikanth was rushed to the hospital due to severe stomach pain. A team of doctors closely monitors his health, with cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish overseeing the tests and procedures. However, neither the doctors nor Rajinikanth's family have released an official statement regarding his hospital admission.

On the professional front, Rajinikanth is currently involved in two projects-Vettaiyan and Coolie. Vettaiyan, slated for release on October 10, is one of the major films hitting the box office during the Dussehra season. The film recently completed its censorship formalities, receiving a U/A certificate with a runtime of 163.25 minutes (2 hours 43 minutes 25 seconds).

Gnanvel Raja is the director of Vettaiyan and it features Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Rithika Singh, Manju Warrier and others in crucial roles.
