The film industry is loaded with uncertainties and unpredictable behaviour, and this is again prevalent in the case of Dacoit which has Adivi Sesh in the lead role. This film released in theatres a couple of weeks ago, and there is still a lot of discussion happening on the same.

One of the main questions raised about the film is that what was the reason behind replacing Shruti Haasan as the female lead in this film.

When this question was asked in front of the producer of the film, Supriya Yarlagadda, she had a very interesting reaction to the same. Surya pointed out that Shruti Haasan was removed from the project or anything, but it was just a logistical and scheduling issue.

According to this leading producer, Shruti Haasan was unavailable briefly, and in accordance with this, the shooting schedules of Sesh, which interlude with Goodachari meant that there were scheduling gaps. So the decision to keep Shruti Haasan away from the lead cast is more of logical one rather than a creative choice.

On the other hand, it has been confirmed by Supriya that she first considered Mrunal Thakur when she first heard the script and even texted her about it. This was back in 2020, and the two of them reportedly had a laugh about the same.

Faith was so very strong that Mrunal Thakur ended up getting this role nearly 5 years later, and she was indeed a part of this film in the end. It was further added that there were several hurdles during the making of this film, and that is the reason why it got prolonged so very much.
