Suriya's 'Karna' Raises Speculations Once Again!

With 'Ramayana' going on floors, a lot of filmmakers are planning to make epic dramas set in periodic backdrops. They are roping in hotshot heroes and top producers. One such film is 'Karna' which has Tamil star hero Suriya playing the main lead while Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is directing it. This pan-Indian film is being made on a grand scale and the team spoke to the media as well at that time.

But the shooting did not start and many thought that it was shelved. They even built a massive set and entire budget of the film was over 300 crores. The team wanted to come close to the landmark movie like 'Dana Veera Soora Karna'. Apart from the high budget, Suriya's dates too became an issue. As per reports, there are reasons for the movie to going onto the floors.

Sources say that the movie is slowly getting back on track and the makers are trying to take Suriya's market into consideration as well and spend accordingly. There is a talk in Chennai that claims that movies like 'Hanu-Man' without a star hero worked wonders and 'Karna' has a big star like Suriya onboard. Some say that Suriya will remind everyone of the actor inside them.

Suriya is currently shooting for 'Kanguva'. It is expected to hit the screens on 10th October and there is 'Vadivaasal' with Vetrimaaran as well. Lokesh will be making 'Rolex' in the next few years and if 'Karna' wraps up the production quickly, the actor may start 'Karna'. Currently, the people are eager to see what Suriya and Siva made in 'Kanguva'. The shooting is going on and Bobby Deol is the villain who is quite ruthless.

DSP is giving music and reports suggest that they are looking for a good release date right now.
