Swapna Dutt Says She Doesn't Make Films For Records!

'Kalki 2898 AD' is in theatres right now and it is creating havoc at the box office. The hype had been unreal before the release and the movie got record numbers in the overseas market already. It reportedly got 185 crores worldwide on its first day and fans are curious to know what records it broke and how much it earned officially.

Apparently, they are calling the producers to find out more about the records. The movie's producer Swapna Dutt Chalasani took to social media and wrote, “It's very amazing that people are calling or asking, Did we cross records? It's hilarious because guys who create or created those records never make films for the records. We make for the audience. We make for the love of cinema. We did the same.”

Swapna and Priyanka Dutt have always preferred content over collections. That is how they managed to make films like 'Sita Ramam', 'Evade Subramanyam', 'Mahanati' and other classics. Content is the reason they took the risk of making a 600 crore project like 'Kalki 2898 AD'. While the producers might not be interested, the fans surely are and let us see how big this movie becomes in terms of box-office numbers.

As we know, Prabhas played the role of Bhairava and Amitabh was seen as Ashwatthama. Deepika portrayed the role of Sumathi who is pregnant with Kalki while Kamal Haasan is the villain named Supreme Yashkin. There are many guest roles in this film which surprised the audience.
