Taapsee Explains Why She’s Upset With PR Games
“PR is not just promoting ourselves, but we have to push others down too. That’s a really bad thing, and it is happening as we are speaking,” said Taapsee.;
Making her debut long ago with Jhummandi Naadam (2010), Delhi beauty Taapsee Pannu hasn’t scored any big hit in the Telugu film industry. Though she has poured loads of glamour and proved herself big time with acting, somehow blockbusters haven’t come her way. But things are different for her in Bollywood.
Proving her mettle both as a performer and as a glamorous star, Taapsee made it big in Mumbai with her hard work and honesty. Also, she has become that sought-after starlet with the success of OTT movies like Haseen Dilruba and others. Recently, the actress spoke to a Bollywood portal, revealing more about the PR games one has to play in Bollywood to stay relevant.
“PR is not just promoting ourselves, but we have to push others down too. That’s a really bad thing, and it is happening as we are speaking,” said Taapsee. The actress confirmed that she doesn’t want to do such things, as she wants people to remember her for her body of work rather than this good PR work.
In recent times, that’s what even Telugu heroes like Kiran Abbavaram accused, saying that some PR teams are maligning the fame of other heroes such that their hero will stay relevant. However, such PR-built fame will be short-lived in the current times as people are more intelligent and smart when it comes to expressing their own opinions on social media, rather than engineered opinions.
