Taapsee Pannu Takes U-Turn, Hails Telugu Cinema

For the likes of Radhika Apte and Taapsee Pannu, who have actually made their careers in the South mostly with Telugu films, making a mockery of South Indian film makers and the obsession of the South audience for glamour has become a norm. However, it looks like Taapsee is quick to realise the impact of her mistake, and she is quietly retracting her words now.

After making comments that Telugu film makers used to make her wear a padded bra and then saying that while Bollywood is obsessed with cleavage shows, South industries are obsessed with navel shows, it looks like Taapsee felt the heat of her comments made in bad taste. After her film, Assi flopped at the box office, without even getting reviews, forget collections alone, the actress is now saying that Telugu films have given her a lot of space to experiment, and also got the extended craze that no other tinsel town ever gave her.

After doing almost a dozen films in Telugu, Taapsee exited the tinseltown for Bollywood and acted in a couple of films there, slipping into skimpy two-piece bikini outfits as well. They didn’t give her much break in Bollywood. She came back to act in another film in Tollywood, Mishaan Impossible, in 2022, and that was her last. The actress should understand the impact of her words already.
