Producer Talks About Tamannah’s Show-Stopping Raid 2 Song
Ajay Devgn leads this gritty sequel, directed by Rajkumar Gupta, and is set for release on May 1.;
When a song makes more noise than the storyline, you know it’s done its job. That’s exactly the case with Nasha, Tamannah Bhatia’s electrifying number from Raid 2, which has turned into a chartbuster, clocking over 44 million views in no time. While her recent film Odela 2 didn’t leave a mark, Nasha has pushed her back into the spotlight, and how.
But not all attention comes drama-free. Buzz started brewing that Nasha was pushed into the narrative of Raid 2 just for publicity, and not part of the original story. Even more gossip swirled around the censor certificate, with some alleging that the film was marked ‘U/A’ solely because of the song. The producers have now stepped in to clear the air.
Ajay Devgn leads this gritty sequel, directed by Rajkumar Gupta, and is set for release on May 1. Reacting to the chatter, producer Bhushan Kumar stated, “There’s no truth to these assumptions. Yes, the censor board did suggest cuts for a 'U' certificate, but we decided not to trim anything. The song Nasha is part of the narrative, not a last-minute insert. Thriller or not, it fits within the story’s texture.”
And just when things seemed wrapped, a cheeky twist arrived fans are already asking about Raid 3. At this rate, Tamannah might just get another showstopper... or a full-blown soundtrack.
