Tamil Hero’s ‘Taking Break’ Comment Is Debatable

One of the most talked about actor back in 2011 and 2013, due to films like “Journey” and “Raja Rani” is none other than Tamil hero Jai. However, the actor’s recent comments about film career and how others have bypassed him due to the way he has taken an unwanted break have shocked him. However, his break is quite short and many are wondering if his revelations are logical in the first place or not, as it turned out to be debatable.

Reflecting on his career, Jai stated that taking a long break after success is a big wrong decision. He added that during that time the likes of Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi have built their careers and established themselves in the industry. While he was waiting for the perfect script to come his way, somehow opportunities slipped away to emerging actors. However, the actor says, “I still haven't found the perfect balance or the right formula for consistent success at the box office”.

Well, to be precise, Jai has taken a break after Journey (Engeyum Eppodum) in 2011, but then, later he came back with a superhit like Raja Rani (Atlee’s debut film) in 2013. Since then, the actor has been doing 2-3 films or more a year, but never worked big time. Maybe Jai has missed out on locking scripts that have creative brilliance as well as box office potential. The same is the case with many stars out there, as they do a lot of movies, but never pick the ones that actually work. That’s the reason taking a break is not something that would affect them negatively, but choosing the wrong scripts well.
