For a young hero whose first film made under a ₹1 crore budget ran well, his next film is being made immediately with a ₹10 crore budget. Then, for this hero who happens to be the son of a senior star, his previous film didn’t even collect ₹3 crores from the box office, and ₹6 crores from OTT, but his next film’s budget is almost ₹20 crores. And that’s what wonders some senior film personalities like Tanikella Bharani, though they don’t spell it out exactly like this.

During a conversation, Tanikella Bharani stated that he’s in awe of Tamil actor Dhanush, who keeps on producing low-budget films in the range of ₹2-3 crores. No matter how those films are, and what response the content gets, Dhanusha is continuing to make films in that budget, and they are making easily ₹10 crores revenue for him. Tanikella wondered

“Dhanush charges ₹7 crores remuneration as a producer, but makes films in under ₹2 crores budgets, and those movies make ₹10 crores revenue. Our star directors and heroes may have stopped travelling in second-class and moved to business class now. So they don’t want to travel second-class anymore,” said Tanikella, giving an example of how things are going on.

In fact, these are some very old words of Tanikella given in an old interview, but they still hold true even today.
