Teja Sajja’s Mirai stormed the box office on its opening day, raking in over ₹27 crore gross. Fans and critics alike are impressed, calling it a fantasy action spectacle that lives up to the hype. Directed by Kartik Gattamneni, who previously helmed Ravi Teja’s Eagle, the film features Manoj Manchu as the antagonist. With its mix of mythology, high-octane action, and cutting-edge VFX, Mirai is already being called one of the most ambitious Pan India releases of the year.
The Hindi version, released by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, aims to capture the North Indian audience. To boost the reach, the distributors launched a ‘Buy 1 Get 1’ offer for Hindi screenings, making it easier for more viewers to experience the spectacle. While the Hindi version started slow, positive word-of-mouth is expected to push it up in the coming days. Fans across regions are curious to see if Mirai can create a phenomenon similar to HanuMan in the North.
On day one, the movie collected over ₹12 crore across all languages in India. Telugu theatres reported strong occupancy 56% in the morning, 63% in the afternoon, and over 70% by evening. Even without special shows or paid previews, Mirai surpassed HanuMan, which earned ₹9.3 crore on its opening day in 2024. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, the film also stars Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram, adding star power to the epic story.
The story follows a warrior entrusted with protecting nine sacred scriptures, leading to a clash that combines heritage, heroism, and fantasy. With Gowra Hari composing the music and Karthik Gattamneni’s direction, Mirai offers a visually spectacular experience. Fans are already calling it Teja Sajja’s biggest opener, breaking previous records and setting a new benchmark for fantasy action films. If momentum continues, Mirai could become a landmark Pan-India success, proving that mythology, action, and strong performances can create magic on the big screen.
