Shocker! Exhibitors Give Ultimatum To Peddi
The Telangan Exhibitors Union, which is also part of the Telangan Film Chamber, has now stated that they want a percentage system of revenue-sharing model for “Peddi” too.
Telangana exhibitors got their patience tested with the specially constituted committee not taking any decision about “Percentage System”, and with the Producers not literally talking to them in the said timelines, now they have issued an ultimatum. The Telangan Exhibitors Union, which is also part of the Telangan Film Chamber, has now stated that they want a percentage system of revenue-sharing model for “Peddi” too.
In fact, earlier it has come out that Ram Charan’s Peddi movie will be exempted from the whole “percentage system” related fight. Later, the Telangana exhibitors clarified that if Peddi is going for price hikes in Telangana state, then even theatre rentals should be paid more. However, the makers of Peddi haven’t clarified on that, and later, the Producers-Exhibitors committee is unable to come to any conclusion regarding the percentage system. Now, Telangana exhibitors clarified that they want ‘percentage’ for Peddi too, whether that could be 10%, 20%, or 30% in the first week's share. They have an ultimatum that they are not going back on their demand now, after what they have went through.
Now that Telangana Exhibitors are hellbent on percentage system to be implemented for Peddi as well, surely the issue is back to square one. And if Vriddhi Cinemas along with their distribution partner Mythri Movie Makers doesn’t take care of this before June 4th, surely the film’s openings will get massively affected. We have to see what more drama unfolds in Tollywood now.
