20% Of Ticket Hike Money Goes Here!
Before the acting producers take the final call on this, the Govt of Telangana has hiked the ticket prices forever, but with a twist.
All these days, the ‘exhibitors’ and ‘distributors’ from Telangana are saying that they can’t release the movies on a rental basis, but they want only a ‘percentage sharing’ model such that they would get money based on the success of a film, rather than just the rent. Before the acting producers take the final call on this, the Govt of Telangana has hiked the ticket prices forever, but with a twist.
Apparently, whatever the price hikes that are earlier approved by the Telangana Government, for movies like The Raja Saab, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, Peddi and other films, the producers should give 20% of the ‘share’ from that hiked price to the Government. It’s assured that the excessive 20% shared with the government goes to the Telugu Cinema Workers Federation fund only.
Well, when active producers are refusing to share a bit of a percentage from the hiked price to the exhibitors who have created a ruckus before ‘Peddi’ release, many are wondering what these producers will now say to the Government of Telangana. While the talks between Exhibitors and producers haven’t reached a settlement, now we have to see what they will say to the Telangana Government.
