Why Are Big Heroines Staying Silent?

Amid the growing debate, questions are being raised about why popular Telugu heroines like Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Sreeleela have not publicly reacted. Many feel that actresses who built their careers in South Indian cinema should respond when the industry faces criticism. Their silence has now become another topic of discussion on social media.
We have seen how Janhvi Kapoor has created a divide; in the South, there is no bound script for a film, and she has listened to the director to portray that role in the movie. Later, Radhika Apte stated that she played the role of a woman who marries her cousin/uncle in a Telugu movie, and made fun of South cinema. When these starlets are ridiculing Telugu cinema and South cinema, what are our star heroines doing?
The likes of Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, Sreeleela, Bhagyashree Bhorse, or other happening star heroines are super active on social media, but they are not even taking a chance to condemn Radhika Apte’s comments. When Janhvi Kapoor’s thing happened during the Peddi release, most of them followed the same silence. More than talking nonsense, not standing up against the nonsensical talk is a bigger mistake, is what many feel.
Some of the heroines like Samantha and Kajal have had their entire careers in the South, especially through Telugu films only. So definitely they should take a stand and condemn the venomous narrative being spread by Janhvi and Radhika, and the likes of Taapsee earlier. This is what even the common audience is feeling. As most of them don’t even stand a chance to go to Bollywood and prove something there now, many are wondering why they are keeping silent.
